Our staff wasted no time helping make an impact in their communities, and we can’t say we are surprised! This past March, we had the pleasure of participating in multiple local cleanup efforts that spanned throughout the great state of Texas. It’s comforting knowing that all Presidium members are united when it comes to wanting to better the place they call home.
Community Engagement Day – Austin, TX
Our team and 50 others spent their Saturday morning volunteering with Keep Austin Beautiful’s Community Engagement Day initiative. Throughout the year, Keep Austin Beautiful facilitates many of these high-impact volunteer opportunities in an effort to support parks, schools, creeks and neighborhoods where volunteer help would provide the most significant impact for the surrounding communities.
The Presidium team helping Keep Austin Beautiful!
Presidium’s team members cleaned up trash around the East Riverside Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road intersection (just 10 minutes from downtown) to help prevent litter from entering Austin’s streams and the Colorado River. We’re excited that we share Keep Austin Beautiful’s commitment in making a long-term and sustainable difference in Austin.
Ferguson Road Initiative – Dallas, TX
Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the annual Operation Beautification Litter Clean-Up Event
Presidium also participated in Ferguson Road Initiative’s eighth annual “Operation Beautification Litter Clean-Up Event” in partnership with Walgreens and Keep Dallas Beautiful. Here, more than 290 Dallas community members collected over .7 tons of trash (yes, we said tons!), gathered more than 100 lbs. of food for non-profit White Rock Center of Hope and cleaned over 20 different areas. The spaces they worked to ‘beautify’ included local parks, lakes, neighborhoods, schools and major intersections.
Every year we leave this event so inspired by how the Dallas community comes together to create a better place for their neighbors.
We are passionate about promoting a sense of community while working to improve the quality of life in our surrounding neighborhoods.
